This is a little different, so stay with me here.

I’ve decided to embark on a bit of a stretch of my comfort zone.

I play in and write songs for a rock & roll band called The Confusionaires… and much like this blog, when I write, it’s generally about something.

So periodically, I’ll be posting some of these videos of me talking about songs. It’s bound to get into some new subject matter over time, as there are definitely things I write songs about that have not been mentioned here yet… and some that are a direct result of a line of thinking from this blog.

Anyway… I hope you enjoy this.

Also… be gentle, these videos are bound to improve with time so if you find the voice a bit quiet, or you find me to be a little twitchy or nervous, just… pretend I’m flirting with you or something.

CURRENT CHALLENGE:

Early 2025: After running between 8km and 10km distances 4 times per week through the summer of 2024, allergies hit hard in the fall, and I went back indoors in September 2024 - though I did get into mountain biking in place of running, and found some aggressive trails to ride in Edmonton's river valley 1-2 times per week. In early 2024 I increased my protein intake and started lifting heavy, as well. Cutting was a struggle through the summer, even while running those distances, but I've recalculated my macro & calorie intake and I'm seeing the desired results now.

PREVIOUS CHALLENGES:
– August 21, 2022: Completed The Edmonton Half Marathon with a time of 2:19:26 following my home-built half-marathon training program.
– May 4, 2022: Performed Olympic Length Triathlon (1500m swim @ 59:51, 40km bike @ 87:03, 10km run @ 50:40) after completing this Olympic Distance training program. – Not a formal event, trained for and done independently.
– December 27, 2021: Performed half-Olympic length triathlon (750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run) after 12 week training program. – Not a formal event, trained for and done independently.
– November 12, 2021: Performed super-sprint triathlon (500m swim, 10km bike, 3km run) as part of the training program for the half-olympic length triathlon. – Not a formal event, trained for and done independently.
