This post might be short… It’s been a week away, and today was long, but really I think I am satisfied just knowing I didn’t completely forget to write anything.
I was thinking about how my songwriting has been going a bit slow as of late. It hasn’t completely stopped. It never completely stops. But I go through times of discovery between bouts of constant creative flow, and right now I am in discovery mode.
And since I have just realized I am in discovery mode (even though I have been for a while) I can relax and enjoy the process even more. I’ve been finding new (to me) music at a steady pace, and it’s causing me to expand my ideas, as well as my thoughts about creating music.
When I start to lean back into the hard-writing times, I’m certain I’ll have a full reservoir of ideas and themes for new music.
Again.. creativity is still flowing, albeit slowly… So patience is required
I can’t wait to see what shakes out once it’s in full-force.
